Steve Johnson has been in private practice for over twenty years. Beginning his career as a special education teacher, he went on to earn a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology and a Masters Degree in Clinical Social Work.

In 1993, Steve was conferred Diplomate Status by satisfying the requirements for Advanced Clinical Social Work established by the Competence Certification Commission of the National Association of Social Workers. Over the years, he has acquired extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy, family therapy, addiction treatment, guided imagery and clinical hypnosis. In addition, Steve has more than 15 years experience in integrating EMDR into his therapy practice.
